Professor Tong Lei holds a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and Economics from China University of Mining and Technology and a Master's and Ph.D. in Management from China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing). She is a recipient of the Beijing Higher Education Teaching Excellence Award and serves as the course leader and lecturer for the first batch of national first-class undergraduate courses and high-quality undergraduate courses in Beijing, specifically for the course "Microeconomics."
Her research interests include risk management, safety economics, comprehensive evaluation of technical economics, enterprise innovation and venture capital, mining and energy policies, and related fields. She has undertaken and participated in research projects such as the National Tenth Five-Year Plan Scientific and Technological Tackling Key Project, National Natural Science Foundation Project, Beijing Excellent Talent Aid Project, thematic research projects of the Central Committee of the China Association for Promoting Democracy, and social research projects in Haidian District. She has published over 30 papers and authored 1 monograph. She has been awarded more than 10 honors, including the Second Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress in China's Coal Industry, the First Prize for Teaching Achievement in the Coal Industry, and the First Prize for Excellent Research Achievement in Haidian District.
