Song Mei, Ph.D. in Management, is a Professor and Ph.D. supervisor at China University of Mining and Technology (Beijing). She was selected for the Ministry of Education's New Century Excellent Talents Support Program. She serves as the head of the doctoral program in Management Science and Engineering and as the leader of the research team on "Energy Environment Management and High-Quality Development."
Her research and teaching focus on energy economic policies and system modeling, regional economic low-carbon development, and energy system resilience assessment. She has undertaken and completed over 30 funded projects, including those from national and provincial-level research programs, and has received three provincial and ministerial-level awards for her research achievements. She has published over 40 academic papers in domestic and international core and first-tier academic journals, authored 3 books, and co-authored 2 textbooks. She has contributed to publications such as the "World Energy Blue Book" (2014-2023), "Global Nuclear Energy Industry Development Report (2017)," and "China Coal Industry Development Report (2023)." She has supervised more than 40 graduate students and mentored over 70 graduate students.
Song Mei serves as a reviewer for academic journals such as the Journal of Cleaner Production, International Journal of Environment and Climate Change, and Journal of Mining Science. She also serves as a review expert for the National Social Science Foundation, Beijing Natural Science Foundation, and other organizations. She is a member of the National Committee for Guidance of Professional Degree Graduate Education in Engineering Management.
